Performing This Week
Monday: Jerry and the Bad Boys (w/ openers Damesick & Billy Nettles)
- Led for the past 20 years by front man Jerry “Hellman” Hillman, the Bad Boys unique and eclectic sounds are a blend of folk, metal and 1950’s surf music. Be sure to stick around for their crowd pleasing closer: a twenty-two-minute version of “Surfing Bird” sung completely in falsetto
- Damesick is an all-female group of hemophiliacs playing all original pop music based on their illness.
- There will be no glass or sharp objects of any kind allowed near the stage
- Billy Nettles first gained fame for his YouTube cover of “Boy/Friend?” and now he’s touring in support of his new album Babygirl
Tuesday: Open Mic Night!
- Come down and share your best songs, poetry, comedy or spoken word piece. Please be sure to keep them under 3 minutes in duration. And remember, just because no one is listening, doesn’t mean you aren’t being heard
Wednesday: The Violent Objections (w/ openers Foggy Belfast)
- Coming all the way from Northern Ireland, this dynamic duo features Colin Boyle on mandolin and vocals and his wife Aoife playing the accordion. Their renditions of U2 classics rarely leave a dry eye in the house.
- Foggy Belfast flips the duo and features Aoife playing guitar and singing and Colin backing her up on accordion. They also cover U2 songs exclusively but only from their last two albums.
Thursday: Le$ter Ruckus (w/ openers H8RS & P@nt B/n*k)
- Local hip-hop legend Le$ter brings the ruckus on banging tracks such as “Pu**y Good Nuff” and “Fo Sho”. His first performance in 7 years – a must see!
- H8RS are a powerful mix of skater punk and biker rap. Their energetic live shows have been called “remarkable…they are” and “definitely…worth the money”
- Aside from having a nearly unpronounceable name, P@nt B/n*k features the songwriting talents of Keisha Bondi who is best known for her work on Le$ters “C*ck Choke”.
Friday: Metal Magic
- Known for their exceptionally long sets, Norwegian death cult soundtrackers Metal Magic can open and close a show all on their own. Theatricality is the name of their game but be warned, with the multiple simulated suicides, this show is not for the faint of heart!
Saturday: Grandma’s Spoon (w/Peacebomb)
- 90’s alt gods Grandma’s Spoon are back and great as ever! With a back catalog of over 20 hits, watching them is like stepping into a time machine. “Janice”, “My Saucer” and the #1 song of 1993 “Pretty (You Too)?” are just some of the crowd pleasers.
- Supergroup Peacebomb formed from the ashes of two fabled bands: Honeylick, which had massive success with their album Dig? and The Ultraviolenz who are best known for their smash hit “Walk My Dog”.
